Did you ever dream that your president raps and releases the number one single of the year? Well, of course if you aren’t a Ugandan, that’s not your president anyway! According to Reuters, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said that he might release a complete rap album after his debut songs became the heart throb of night clubs and Ugandan radio stations.
And the best part is that these rap songs performed by M7, nick name of Ugandan president, weren’t gangster or romantic odes; they were Children’s folk chants back from his birth city.
The president claims that he is fairly new to this genre of music but there was no stopping himself once he knew and was introduced to the world of rap singing. The message of these rap songs from Ugandan president isn’t hate or love; these songs are intended to introduce his country’s youth to their ancestral rhymes and music.
And as the Ugandan president is campaigning for a next term in office, so the ruling party of Uganda were really pleased with the positive impact of these rap songs. However they had to warn some local publishing houses for printing topless president with tattooed body and all; after it’s your president guys!
