Mobile phones are much more today than just means of communication; the mobile phone you carry with you today is a symbol of fashion, class and the level of luxury you can afford. There are top accessories designers in the world who are busy making for those who are willing to spend the most outrageously expensive of mobile sets. The rich wont just stop at wearing diamonds and gold, they must have them in their mobile sets, too! If you a have a little ( EXORBITANT) cash on hand, let us forget about the struggles for survival as we present to you a list of most ostentatiously expensive mobile phones.

Diamond-Studded Tag Heuer Meridiist Phone

Diamond-Studded Tag Heuer Meridiist Phone
$30,000 can buy you a Meridiist that boasts of 7.4 carat diamonds. This is a rather sleek model made of stainless steel and with rows of the mentioned diamonds along the edges that shimmer with much class. It comes in a wooden jewelry presentation box, with all the glory of its sapphire Crystal scratch-resistant screen. With features like 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth connectivity, it is sold more for its exterior glamour than for the mobile's features in itself. Tag Heuer knows how to charge exorbitantly for just an average but still-stylish product!

Motorola V220 Special Edition

Motorola V220 Special Edition
1200 diamonds with a keypad in-laid with 18-carat gold makes this one sell at $51, 800. This has pretty much the same features as the old V220 which means even spending all that much money doesn't guarantee a world-class gadget service; this includes GSM 900 / GSM 1800 / GSM 1900, Organizer, Java MIDP 2.0, Calculator, T9 (iTAP), Built-in hands free & Voice mail and, of course, a very high-resolution camera. It has been dubbed as being a product for the usual suspects: "the film and football stars".

Nokia 8800 Arte with Pink Diamonds

Nokia 8800 Arte with Pink Diamonds
The Austrian jeweler Peter Aloissan got bored and put forward his latest design of white and pink diamonds of 'best quality' and some 18k white gold further embellishing the luxury edition that sells for $ 131,650. Although the exterior is rather new and so is the new glitter added to it, the mobile set contains the features of the old 8800 as released in 2007:3.15 megapixel camera, email and web capabilities, 3G connectivity, hands-free and a non-expandable memory of 1GB. Shouldn't Aloisson have chosen a newer model for his next sinful design?
7.

Vertu Diamond

Vertu Diamond
The platinum model for this sells for $31, 850. While it has standard phone features like Bluetooth connectivity and a multi-language predictive text input but what really makes it a phone for the rich and the famous is the way its exterior is modeled. The platinum and gold models are both finished to perfection, round-edged and truly classy to behold. While other sets atleast offer glamour-value, this set looks hardly fashionable and you won't have people asking you what model it is- and yes, all this despite the diamonds.
6.

Sony Ericsson Black Diamond

Sony Ericsson Black Diamond
A quad-band phone with wiFi connectivity and 4-mega pixel camera and a two inch touch-sensitive screen, this is truly a luxurious limit-edition phone. With an Intel processor with a speed of 400 MHz, it is an ultra-thin phone made of titane and a glossy finish which is added further glitter to by a large set of diamonds. It costs $ 300, 000 but has been reviewed to be average feature-wise. Personally, if I was in a mood to drain my savings in this way, I would just buy an iPhone, go home and sleep peacefully, with no worries of daily checking if the number of diamonds is intact.
5.

Vertu's Signature Cobra Cell Phone

 Vertu
At $310,000 this phone offers not juts a variety of diamonds but a stunning variety of rubies and emeralds- a whole jewel shop, some would say. The French jeweler Boucheron lends his stones to a set that already has the latest of mobile phone features that are being offered in the market- high-resolution camera, speaker-phone, and nice to-do list. Since only 26 sets of this model will be made, it'll be another one of those rare gadgets that the most popular and the richest just must have and looking at the average features it offers, you won't be missing out on much.
4.

Geneva based Goldvish "Le Million"

Geneva based Goldvish "Le Million"
Another wonder from the Swiss, this was labeled as the most expensive phone of 2008 at $1.3 million by the Guinness World Record. They have dubbed it the "odd yet powerfully shaped" device features some 1800 diamonds and all the usual suspects in the form of 18-carat white gold of high quality, in-built camera of great resolution and a quad band GSM support. The shape maybe "odd" and "powerful" but it's still a little strange and might not make up for those $1.3 million going out of your pocket.
3.

Diamond Crypto Cell Phone

Diamond Crypto Cell Phone
The Austrian accessory designer Peter Aloisson puts forward a hefty set that costs around 1.3 million dollars. White and blue gold, embedded with 50 diamonds, another 10 blue diamonds, a gold case, platinum keys and a navigation key made out of rode gold, this phone has it all. It offers Crypto Telecommunications Security services that make it the most protected mobile phone in the world. The Windows CE operating systems offers a high-resolution image display and a memory that saves up to 400 numbers. And just what does this phone not have? Yeah, it's probably not going to feed those children in Africa.
2.

Amosu Curva Blackberry

Amosu Curva Blackberry
This new Curve 8900 could possibly be the most expensive Blackberry in the world at a startling 150, 000 pounds. Strangely enough, the Curva model doesn't curve all that much but if you thought Blackberry was the new lifestyle phone you must have, this is going to take the craze a lot more further; added to the unique set of applications that a Curve 8900 offers, are some 4495 brilliantly-cut diamonds encrusted on 18-carat yellow gold. The designer Alexander Amosu, plans to sell just three sets of this fabulous creation and one of these pieces has already been bought by a mysterious Middle-Eastern client. This one is more a glamorous gadget than a spy-movie savvy one, since it features about the same features as the other blackberry.

An iPhone at 1.92 million pounds

An iPhone at 1.92 million pounds
Stop here and go no further for that stylish edge, you incredibly-rich people! With 221 carats of carat solid gold and 200 diamonds, iPhone 3GS Supreme has been produced by a British designer. A magnificent spectacle to behold, the front navigation alone is of a 7-carat diamond. The phone comes in case of a special 7 kg chest made out of granite and gold with a Nubuck leather lining. When you add to all this glitter, the most tricks that a mobile phone can offer, you have on your hands one of the world's most expensive phones. You might have to sell your car, your house and even your family to buy this one, but this beauty, the makers claim, is worth having.
